Tunateca Balfegó, a gastronomic space to enjoy both bluefin tuna and its interior design, is a restaurant located in Barcelona's Eixample that will undoubtedly leave you wanting to repeat the experience.

Marcasal ha proporcionado el textil que le da al restaurante el efecto que el estudio de Equipo creativo its objective was: to design a space where it represented the depths of the Mediterranean Sea and where the bluefin tuna had a special role.

The project intended to cover the entire perimeter of the premises with a corporate blue curtain with waves to simulate the sea. The curtain, provided by Marcasal Estudio-taller de soluciones textiles, is a large translucent curtain 5 meters high which turns the space into an undulating, organic and deep space.

El tejido de la cortina se tiñó al color del proyecto, un visillo tipo rejilla and it was placed with a flexible rail above and below to tighten the fabric and follow the path of the iron structure that forms the waves.

The interior design becomes an element of communication about the world of tuna. Each one of the different areas talks about some topic related to this product and its fishing. We also want to highlight that in one of the restaurant's rooms, intense red and black scales are the protagonists of the design, since it represents bluefin tuna in its greatest splendor.

The space has been awarded numerous times with different recognitions and where the Marcasal team is proud to be part of this project.
