Hesperia Sevilla

In theHesperia Sevillaproject, Marcasal has significantly contributed to creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere through various textile solutions. Luis Alicandú and TheNullhas been complemented by Marcasal’s collaboration, which included the crafting of headboards, bed throws, and cushions for the rooms, as well as upholstering the common areas.

Rooms at the Hesperia Sevilla.

In the rooms at the Hotel Hesperia Sevilla, Marcasal has crafted bed headboards that not only add a touch of elegance but also ensure the comfort of the guests. The bed throws and cushions have been created with a careful selection of textiles that combine durability and aesthetics, in collaboration with the interior designers. The beige tones of the throws, combined with colors such as turquoise blue, orange, and red, provide both warmth and reflect the climate of Seville.

The headboards feature an upholstery , style known as "vertical capitonné,", characterized by its padded structure and vertical stitching, creating a visual effect of depth and texture. This style offers a modern and streamlined appearance, adding a luxurious touch to the rooms.

The headboards, upholstered by Marcasal with the capitonné technique, bring a touch of elegance and comfort.

Common areas at the Hesperia Sevilla.

In the hotel’s common areas, Marcasal has used velvet and a combination of other high-quality textiles for the upholstery. The choice of velvet in intense colors like emerald green and turquoise blue adds a touch of luxury and sophistication. The combination of these textiles adds dynamism and warmth to the spaces. The armchairs, upholstered with the capitonné technique, with precision and attention to detail, become central pieces inviting guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings, along with the sofas. Vibrant colors stand out due to their modern and elegant design.

Armchairs in the common areas:

In the common areas, there are different types of armchairs upholstered with capitonné, each with a distinctive style that adds unique character to the spaces:

  • Square capitonné armchairs: These armchairs feature square capitonné upholstery in a vibrant turquoise blue. The square capitonné is characterized by the arrangement of padding in a square shape, creating a visible grid pattern on the furniture's surface. This modern and minimalist style, without visible buttons, gives a clean and contemporary look.

  • Armchairs with wide capitonné sections: Additionally, armchairs with a capitonné style featuring wider, rounded padded sections have been used. These armchairs, in a striking coral color, are designed to provide a high level of comfort and a touch of classic elegance. The capitonné in these armchairs creates a soft and luxurious texture, perfect for complementing the floral and geometric patterns of the surroundings.

The armchairs shown below stand out for their upholstery in mustard-colored velvet, a warm and elegant tone that brings a sense of luxury and comfort to the space. The design of these armchairs is characterized by fan-shaped seams, creating a visual fan effect, adding a distinctive and sophisticated touch. This type of upholstery not only provides a soft and pleasant texture to the touch but also highlights the quality and attention to detail in their craftsmanship.

The selection and combination of a wide variety of cushions enrich the environment visually and sensorially. The range of cushions includes geometric, floral, and abstract patterns, each carefully chosen to complement the surrounding textiles. The cushions feature vibrant, contrasting colors like emerald green, blue, red, and yellow, blending harmoniously with the velvet-upholstered furniture and other high-quality materials.

This winning combination of interior designers Luis Alicandú and TheNull, along with Marcasal’s textile solutions, not only brings dynamism and freshness but also reflects the rich culture and vitality of Seville, creating a space that invites comfort and relaxation while maintaining a cohesive and attractive aesthetic.
